Give Thanks To the Lord

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” (Psalm 118:1, Psalm 100: 4-5). Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. God is worshiped when we are thankful to him for the existence he provides us. We worship Him because He is worthy of your worship regardless of your circumstances. God’s blessing is for the head of the righteous one. (Proverb 10:6-7)

When a believer walk according to the will of God and follow His commands in spirit and in truth, God is pleased to open the floodgates of the heavens and actually empty out His blessings until there is no more want (Mal 3:10).There are times when God’s blessing comes after one goes through hard times and remains obedient to His Word, as Job did. God did not create Job’s suffering, but He allowed it.

We don’t know the reason, but we do know that good things came out of it. Whatever comes into your life has been either created or allowed by God but remember that He is able to make all things work together for good for His children (Romans 8:28). Yes in the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (Jn. 16:33).

God’s uses these times of trouble to help us grow in our relationship with Him and if we prove obedient and faithful even when it’s hard for us, His blessings are sure to follow! Job suffered a big tribulation but he trust God and at the end we read that what Job lost was restored. Job grieved the sons and daughters he lost but God was with him through it all.

God gave him the strength to get through it, and he will give us the strength to get through our circumstance of life. Job prayed and God answered his prayers. The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.

And he also had seven sons and three daughters. The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. Nowhere in all the lands were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers” (Job 42:12-15). Some of you may be hurting in the past, may be in distress in various ways. Some feel lonely, sorrowful and empty I invite you especially to come, give God thanks.

Let’s all count our many blessings! God’s promises! Think of Jesus! “Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”God knows your hurts and your circumstances. Jesus cares for you; He suffers with you, because He loves you. The word of the Lord say to you today: “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

Start by calling upon the Name of the Lord and pray all the time, the Lord will answer your prayer according with His will for you. “You have not because you ask not” (James 4:2). Jesus told his disciples, until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that you joy may be full” (Jn. 16:24). Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is God. Give to the Lord Glory and strength. Give to the Lord the glory and the honor. Give thanks to the Lord in the good time and in the bad, especially in these times, when many have hardships. I see a preparation of thanksgiving. – “Enter into His gates (His house) with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.” Come, worship, with rejoicing.

Blessings
